The traditional Cajun way of making crawfish is to boil them with boil seasoning and complementing the meal with a starches, carbs, and meats (usually Andouille sausage). The seasoning is a mix of spices from the east, combined with butter, garlic, chilies and other secret Cray ingredients. Eaten by the pounds, the resulting flavors will excite your palate from salty to tangy, followed by luscious butteriness to intense heat.
Owners Jennifer, Sandra, and Simon were introduced by family members living in California and Louisiana where southern Cajun style seafood is a weekly staple. The nautical-themed Cajun seafood peel-it-yourself experience inspired them to bring this unique and casual dining experience to Vancouver. Differing from the usual Northwestern seafood restaurants, Cray Kitchen brings originality and a whole lot of fun. Jennifer and Sandra strongly recommends coming in dressed in your most casual attire (preferably something not white). Be prepared for a delicious mess and make sure your sleeves are rolled up.
